Chilly Weather Style Inspo

onetwo / three

Even though it's still fairly warm here in Bloomington, I can't help but get excited about chillier weather and all the clothes that come along with it. There's nothing better than cozying up in a big coat, a fluffy hat and booties and walking in the crisp air outside. Now that I am outside a lot during the day walking to class, I usually dress more for comfort than anything, but above are three of my favorite elements of chilly weather style. First, a fluffy hat, preferably one with a furry ball on top. I just bought a new knit hat (under $10!) during my trip to Chicago and I cannot wait to break it out after Thanksgiving. Second, some type of fur accent. Whether it be on a coat, a scarf or something else, a little touch of fur adds such a cozy element to your outfit and keeps you extra warm as well. I love Olivia Palermo's coat in the second picture - doesn't it look so fun with the black fringe booties?! And third, a military jacket is a cool addition to your wardrobe. I borrowed my roomie's during my shopping trip and even though it felt a little out of my comfort zone (aka edgier than my usual outerwear) I really liked how it looked with a pair of boots.

Check out a few similar pieces below that you could add to your collection! Just click the image to be directed to the website.

What are you excited to wear as the temperature cools down this year?
