Outfit: What to Wear While Traveling

When it comes to traveling, I'm very particular about how I go about things whether it be what I wear on the plane, how I pack my suitcase, or which bag I bring as my carry on. I'm going to do a post all about how I pack my big (hot pink!) suitcase, but today I wanted to share what I wear on the airplane.  I'm breaking this down into my XXXX essentials below.

+ Comfy pullover
Since I like having some sort of sweatshirt or comfortable layer with me when I travel for more than a few days, I always wear it on the plane to save space in my luggage. Not only does it help keep you warm when the plane gets a little chilly, but it takes up more room than you think in a suitcase! It's also easy to wash in case you sit in something in your seat. My all time favorite pullover is this one from Southern Proper - I cannot say enough good things about it! I wear it nearly everyday while doing homework. If you want a comfortable one, I recommend sizing up (I got a Women's Large) for an extra cozy feel.

+ Roomy tote
If you're like me, then you have a lot of necessities you have to bring on the plane. From lotion to a granola bar to a laptop, having a fairly big bag with you is super convenient. I try to bring one that could also double as a purse during my trip, so this tan one or a Longchamp work perfectly!

+ Hat
There are two reasons I always wear a hat on the airplane: one, it saves space in your suitcase and two, it helps hide dirty hair. When I go somewhere warm, I think it's essential to bring some sort of hat to hide your face from the sun or to cover up greasy hair after working out, swimming, etc. If you like packing a floppy hat for the beach, carry or wear it on the plane so it doesn't get squished in your suitcase!

+ Favorite jewelry
My biggest fear while traveling is losing my checked luggage, so I wear my favorite pieces (silver watch, pearl earrings, rings) on the plane to assure nothing gets stolen or lost.

+ Tennies
Another item that takes up tons of room in your suitcase, wear your workout shoes or tennies on the plane. You also never know what you'll be stepping in or how far you'll have to walk through airports, so having comfortable shoes on is always a good idea.

What do you wear while traveling?
xoxo
