Morning Routines of Successful Women

There's something so interesting about morning routines. To me, the way you start your day sets the stage for your mood and therefore everything you are going to accomplish. If you wake up late, scramble out of bed, don't eat breakfast and are hurrying to school or work, you obviously aren't going to have the best day you could potentially have. I always watch morning routine videos on Youtube, but I recently stumbled upon this article that was such an interesting read: the morning routines of successful women. From Anna Wintour to Gwyneth Paltrow, each of these women have similar yet such different rituals that they start their day with. I have definitely taken some of their own ideas into consideration for my own routine!

+ Arianna Huffington:
EIC of the Huffington Post
"When I wake up, I don't start the day by looking at my smartphone. Instead, once I'm awake, I take a minute to breathe deeply, be grateful, and set my intention for the day."

+ Anna Wintour
EIC of Vogue
Every morning at 5:45 am, Anna Wintour arrives at New York's Midtown Tennis Club for one hour of tennis.

+ Isabel Marant
Fashion Designer
After donning her uniform - flat shoes, a tight pair of jeans, a cashmere sweater, and a jacket - Isabel drives her scoooter to the pool in St. Germain for a set of 35 laps. "I need this to breathe and to handle my stressful days."

+ Gwyneth Paltrow
Actress + GOOP founder
After her kids are dressed, fed and dropped at school, Gwyneth takes an hour for responding to work emails before exercising from 10 am to noon.

+ Katherine Power
CEO of Clique Media
"Exercise wakes me up and gets my juices flowing. I get my best ideas working out or on a drive back from the gym to the house." Following that, she makes her breakfast which consists of "one egg on a piece of toast and some avocado".

Aren't these so fun to read?! I can't get over Anna Wintour and her daily tennis time.
xoxo

  2. I would love to workout from 10-12 am like Gwyneth, why do I have to work those hours haha...I have heard Anna Wintour plays tennis daily, it's so funny but weirdly I'm not surprised.
