Friday Fours

Happy October! I'm so happy a new month is here and I can't wait for fall to officially begin. It's funny: the first day of October, the temperature dropped 15+ degrees and the wind really started to pick up. I guess Mother Nature was down for a change too! On another note, I've been a bit MIA on social media this week (the homework + college app load has been insane), but I will definitely be setting aside time from now on :) 

I've been in such an organization funk lately and I can't complain. When I get really stressed or feel like my space is out of control, I always try to take a step back and re-organize everything. A little Windex and 30 minutes of hard core cleaning can really work wonders, especially when you're listening to a great playlist!

I'm not embarrassed to admit it: I have worn this outfit (or some version of it) 3+ times these past few days and I sort of love it. For some reason I'm not fully in the dark washed jeans mode yet, so white jeans and a fall flannel are the perfect combination. I can't wait to wear this outfit with my new ankle booties too! 

Lastly, I need to vent quickly. With homecoming, nights out with friends and my senior retreat approaching (more to come next week!!), my normal healthy diet has kind of gone down the drain. Don't get me wrong, I still eat lots of fruits and veggies and drink a ton of water, but I have been indulging in candy like crazy (I partially blame this on my mom's recent trip to Costco... those pre-Halloween candy bags are the silent killers). This week, my goal is to opt for healthier options, while still enjoying a few treats here and there. I am going to aim for one dessert a day and start by eating a salad with a source of protein instead of going for mac and cheese or pizza first. Hopefully my body and skin will thank me!

I'm going to a pink-out themed football game tonight, doing a little shopping tomorrow then I'm off to my senior retreat Sunday! Can't wait to share more after I get back :)

  1. Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned! I totally feel my usual diet has been off the rails lately, so I have been trying to eat cleaner too!
