Yoga Poses to Detox Your Body

I've never really had to deal with injuries, especially sports related, so this tennis season when I had really bad shin splints and tight hamstrings, I've had to learn how to properly stretch, ice and detox my body. A few visits to the school trainer and a trip to a Sports Medicine doctor can really work wonders! After having to stretch and ice my legs so many times, I realized that no matter what physical activity you're doing, it's always a great idea to stretch before and after you exercise. Even if you aren't super active, you should really try to stretch or detox your body through a few different poses. I haven't done much of it my whole life, and let me tell you, it will eventually catch up to you!

Here are 3 of the stretches I find most useful, especially for a tennis player:

::one::
This is an awesome stretch not only for your upper legs and thighs but also to work on your balance (I know personally that I could use some more of that...).

::two::
Here is another nice one for both your legs and arms/ upper body.

::three::
After a long day, downward dog is always a nice stretch to detox your mind and body. Is it just me or does it feel so good to hang upside down at the end of the day?!

I have a few more stretches up my sleeve that are better for the areas I personally need to de-stress, but the ones above are great in general for detoxing and strengthening your body!
Do you have any stretches you swear by?
xoxo
