Friday Fours

Happy first Friday of October! Can you believe September is already over? I seriously can't get over it; it seems like the month was over in the blink of an eye. That being said, October means so many fun things: actual fall weather, pumpkin carving, apple picking, Halloween... you get the idea. My friends and I have planned out something fun every weekend this month to really take advantage of the season (including going to a haunted house which I'll admit, doesn't sit well with me...). Anyway, here's what I've been up to lately:

::one::
If you read this post, then you probably know what happened with my leg. Basically, my muscles are super tight and I ended up having a lot of soreness in my right leg in particular that made it super difficult to walk, run or accelerate in a match. After many visits to the school trainer and a Sports Medicine doctor, I've learned some great stretches and am working my way back to feeling normal again. Let me tell you, it feels great to be able to run again! (PSA: you need these leggings, and yes that is navy and white gingham trim!)

::two::
After going on college visits this past weekend, I've started to get a reality check regarding gpa's, ACT and SAT scores and simply work ethic. The schools I visited really opened my eyes to everything that is possible for my future, but that doesn't come without hard work! This weekend I'm planning to buckle down and get lots of work done, especially since I'll be missing two days next week for tennis sectionals (eek!). Luckily, I've been pretty productive this week so I'm hoping this trend continues for a while!

::three::
With fall comes lots of delicious foods, not to mention the idea that summer is quickly vanishing and the ability to have ice cream everyday is diminishing. I've definitely been consuming a fair share of sweet treats, but this next week I'm going to try to tone it down a bit. Traveling especially throws me off my regular healthy eating (ehem going to Chick-fil-A for the first time is excused, thank you). Lots of fruits and veggies for me!

::four::
Lastly, how could I end my Friday Fours without showing this photo I snapped of Fran before her homecoming? She forced asked me to come over a few minutes before she left to take some photos for her, and I'm so obsessed with her dress. Did you know it's Crewcuts?! This is definitely making me consider trying a piece or two from their fall collection.

  1. I hope your leg feels better! I was in so much pain when I started working out because I neglected stretching, but it definitely makes a huge difference.

    Also love that picture of Fran, that dress is fabulous! Hope you have a great weekend.

  2. In LOVE with those leggings! I got in all of my college transcripts for the Nov.1st deadline, so that was definitely a big stress-reliever for me this week.
