3 Quick + Healthy Breakfast Ideas

It seems like every school morning, I'm in a rush and don't want to make time to a) have breakfast and b) whip up something healthy. One of my goals for junior year is to get better at allowing myself more time in the morning, and to do so, I've been planning my outfits the night before as well as packing my bags before I head to bed. To give myself even more time, I've come up with a few breakfast options I can make in under 5 minutes so that I can eat and get out the door. Not to mention, these three are super easy and nutritious!

+ yogurt parfait
I haven't always been a fan of yogurt, but in the past couple years I've really grown to like the taste. In order to hide some of the gooeyness of the Chobani Greek Yogurt I use (cherry flavor is my personal fave!), I top it with a few handfuls of granola and whatever fruit I have on hand. For fall, I'm going to throw in some sliced apples since they are so ripe! The yogurt is a great source of calcium and the granola has lots of protein, which will keep you full for a long time.

+ cereal and milk
This may seem too expected, but a whole grain cereal is a great way to start your morning. I've never been a big cereal girl, but this summer I tried out Smart Start and have been absolutely hooked ever since. It doesn't taste super grainy and plain like many other nutritious cereals, but still has many sources of fiber and vitamins. For a little extra something, throw in some berries!

+ egg white omelet
My mom is a firm believer in egg whites because they don't contain the unhealthy fats from the yolk, and she often makes egg white omelets for breakfast. Toss in some greens (spinach or arugula!) and veggies of your choice for a great source of protein. (This is a great option for vegetarians looking to get more protein in their diet!)

Now, do share: what is your favorite healthy breakfast?
xoxo
