Peppermint Bark Recipe

With Christmas just 21 days away (!!!) I've been trying to really get into the holiday spirit while I can. That includes playing Christmas music on full blast at every opportunity possible, painting my nails bright red and cooking and baking delicious holiday treats. I made the most delicious Peppermint Bark last week and since it is such an easy and highly dangerous yummy dessert, I thought it would be perfect to share!

Ingredients:
- 2 bags of milk chocolate chips
-1 bag of white chocolate chips
-1 container of candy canes
-1 bag of mini marshmallows
-Cooking spray
(These are very customizable - the only thing you really need is some kind of chocolate!)

Here's what you do:
1. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray and line it with parchment paper, leaving an inch or two hanging off the sides.
2. Crunch up the candy canes into small pieces to sprinkle on top of the chocolate.
3. Melt the milk chocolate in a pot on the stove. This is a very crucial part so make sure you are paying attention and stirring constantly, otherwise the chocolate will burn!
4. Pour the chocolate into the container over the parchment paper, gently smoothing it out into an even layer.
4. Quickly top the bark with peppermint and marshmallows.
5. Melt a small amount of white chocolate chips (I did this in intervals in the microwave to save time) and then immediately drizzle it on top of the bark.
6. Refrigerate the bark for an hour or two.
7. Carefully cut into pieces and enjoy!

Not going to lie.. my friend and I finished all of it that night!

Let me again emphasize how easy this recipe is. I'm not one of those people whom baking comes naturally to (although I really wish I was!) and even I thought this was a piece of cake. It is the perfect recipe for holiday parties or to simply make with friends!

Are you a peppermint bark fan?

cYa
