Summer Makeup

Ok. I'll admit it. I am a girl who wears the least amount of makeup possible. Yes, I have been blessed with fairly clear skin (for the most part!) and I believe a swipe of lip gloss can do wonders. However, there is definitely something to be said about a natural looking face, free from excessive amounts of eyeliner and mascara. In the scorching summer months especially!

My daily makeup routine (and pretty much also when I "go out") includes:
Clear mascara, Chapstick, and lip butter/ gloss.
That's it!

Another thing to mention is that I have extremely sensitive skin. Poke me with a brush with concealer and my face with break out for days. (Not fun when your friend tries to give you a makeover!) To all of you non-sensitive skin people out there, I am forever jealous of you!! But maybe that's why I don't wear a lot of makeup... I mean my skin would be such a wreck if I even tried to wear concealer or blush once.

Ha, I remember getting a makeover at a party with an expensive, all natural make up line a few years ago. The end result? My face was itchy and red for literally a week. Sigh.

Anyways, today I thought I would give you a nice little makeup routine that is perfect for the summer. It is easy, breezy and beautiful (Covergirl! haha). It also includes a little bold lip action, which, never fails to please.

2:: Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart-- the perfect bright lip!
5:: eos Tangerine (citrus!)

Whether you stick to the same routine all year long or change it up in the summer, what is your go-to look? I'd love to know! Comment below ;)

  1. This is basically the makeup routine I do for school, except I use black mascara & put a bit of yellow-tinted concealer under my eyes (I'm blessed with purple under-eyes...thank you genetics!). I work at a pool & chlorine causes acne so when I go out I use foundation, bronzer, & blush -- but I still try to keep it as "natural" as possible even though I'm using more makeup. I never cake on the black eyeliner.
