Friday Fours

I can't believe the first week of classes has come to an end! In some ways it felt extremely long (waking up at 8 am Monday, Wednesday and Friday) but there were also so many fun things to do that made it fly by. I finally feel situated here and its starting to sink in that I'm actually a college student... For a while it seemed like I was just at camp for a week! It made me realize that I 100% chose the right school and I can't wait for all of the exciting adventures in the future.

::one::
I had my first Intro to Retail Studies class on Tuesday and as you can from the picture, I was pretty happy after it! I've finally found my people - and it's a class where you're required to have an Instagram #winwin.

I never thought it would get super hot here, but when you're walking far distances with a huge backpack on you in the middle of the day, the heat really starts to get to you. My friends and I can't believe how sweaty we get from literally walking half a mile to get food! Nike shorts and oversized tees have become my daily uniform.

Last Sunday my roomie and our new friend (from the Hamptons!!) went out to a cute brunch place in Bloomington called the Runcible Spoon. It was so delicious and even though there was a wait, it was close to stores so we were able to shop around for a little bit and pick up some spirit wear. Also, I must have gotten taller or something because my scalloped shirt now looks like a crop top (?!?).

::four::
On Wednesday night it started to rain which we totally didn't see coming so my roomie and I started walking to the bus stop to ride it back to our dorm. We then started hearing sirens around us and got notifications that a tornado warning was in effect and one had been spotted 2 miles away. Both of us panicked and sprinted inside down to a basement to take shelter. Apparently these are pretty common in Indiana so I guess it was good to have one in the first week to know the drill haha!

By the time you are reading this I probably have already taken my first finite quiz at 8 am this morning. College classes really get started quickly!!
Have a great weekend!
xoxo
