What I Eat in a Day

Since my last (!!) Sadie Hawkins dance is on Saturday, I've been trying to eat 90% clean to look and feel my best for the big day. I have been watching a lot of "What I Eat in a Day" videos on Youtube lately and I was inspired to take my own spin on it! It's hard to get an exact look at what I eat every day because my school serves lunch (which is quite dangerous when it comes to french fries and dessert - aka my two weaknesses), but I tried to do the most accurate look into a normal day. Some of these things I would eat on the weekend rather than a weekday, but you get the idea :)

BREAKFAST
I'm obsessed with making scrambled eggs with veggies and Canadian bacon because it's the perfect filling breakfast. I really enjoy making eggs when I wake up for some reason - I find it so relaxing haha! It depends on what I all have in my refrigerator, but I love adding peppers, broccoli and onions to my eggs and then have a berry mix on the side. During the winter months (aka citrus season) I might switch this up and have a grapefruit instead.

SNACK
Again, it really depends what I have on hand but lately I've been loving having almonds and blue tortilla chips and salsa or guacamole for snacks before lunch. While these are salty, they still have lots of health benefits and are so much better for you than potato chips or pretzles.

LUNCH
Ok I've been dying to blog about my latest obsession: Caesar salad mix from Costco (the brand is Earthbound Farm). My mom is always hesitant to let me buy salad mixes because I have them so much at school and never remember to eat them at home. Buut, I got so hooked on this specific mix and would have one every day if I could. So, so good and highly recommend trying!

SNACK
I find that even if I'm not starving in the afternoon, I need a little pick me up whether it's the late afternoon on the weekend or right after school during the week. Putting together a little fruit salad is my new favorite because it's sweet and keeps you full until dinner. Also PSA: pears have been so juicy lately and make the perfect snack!

DINNER
Another Costco favorite: tortilla crusted tilapia! My mom and I both agree that we would eat this exact dinner every single night, but I often trade the cauliflower for green beans or broccoli. The great thing about cauliflower is that it tastes like a carb so you're basically eating a healthier version of something like a potato. Win-win, amirite?

Don't get me wrong... I definitely sneak in the occasional cookie or ice cream cone,
but this is a pretty accurate look into what I eat daily!
Please tell me I'm not the only one obsessed with watching these videos!
