Eighteen

It feels so strange writing this, but today I turn 18 and I'm not quite sure how to feel about it! On one hand, I'm about to enter what everyone calls the most exciting and important years of my life. College is right around the corner and all I hear about it will be the most fun four years I've ever had. On the other, however, my childhood is quickly coming to a close and everything I've become accustomed to for the past 18 years will change dramatically. I'll be thrown into a completely new environment with 45,000 (s/o to state schools, amirite) totally fresh people and endless opportunities at my fingertips. It's utterly scary and the biggest step I've taken so far in my life, but I can't wait for it all (and to take you guys along with me!).

Tonight I'm excited to have a low key celebration with my family, get take out from my favorite restaurant on the East Side and have my annual birthday cake request: angel food cake with whipped cream and berries! I'll also be purchasing my first lottery ticket because you never know, right?
