Last weekend, one of my best friends had a birthday dinner and requested that we all wear LBDs (aka Little Black Dresses). Considering my wardrobe is practically #navyornothing and I only own 2 black pieces, naturally I did what I do whenever I have a clothing crisis and begged asked Fran to borrow one of hers (thanks beanie!). I ended up really loving how simple but fun the dress was and decided that it was time I finally invest in an LBD of my own.

I recently realized that majority of my dresses were navy and that I needed to add a little bit of black to my closet. I found the perfect one at Madewell last weekend and think it will be great for Thanksgiving or Christmas!

Love your picks! I haven't had a LBD in two years since I accidentally ruined my old one (oops!) and haven't repurchased one! I definitely agree they are a wardrobe necessity since they are so classic and timeless!
