Friday Fours

Happy Friday! Today's post is a little bit different than a normal Friday Fours, but I thought it would be fun to mix it up and get a little more personal with you guys. This has seriously been one of the best weeks of my life, as crazy busy as it was. Being a senior definitely has its downsides (trying to get so much done in a short amount of time all while getting enough sleep, etc.) but the few negatives are outweighed by so, so many positives. This week was homecoming week (the dance is tomorrow night!) so we had dress up themes and then yesterday was senior night for tennis. It's so bittersweet to think that all of these things are "lasts" - last homecoming dance, last first day of school, last few matches with my tennis team... Even though I've been in this slightly sad, melancholy mood, it makes me appreciate every day so much more. Here's what's been going on with me lately:

Like I mentioned, last night was senior night for tennis. I never really thought much about this whole event the past 3 years, and it wasn't until right before all the festivities started that I realized how special it truly is. Being honored by our coach, getting handwritten letters from the girls on the team, playing one of our final matches... It's the best way to start to finish off the season with some of my favorite girls. I have loved being a captain because it has allowed me to get to know my teammates on a whole deeper level, and to create such a special bond with them all (s/o to my LB for killing her match last night!!).

This picture was from a week or two ago at our senior breakfast (aka a tailgate at 7:30 am in the morning). Finally being a senior, I have realized that my school has so many fun traditions that I never really noticed before, like this early morning tailgate. Eating donuts, sipping juice and watching eggs being scrambled on a tailgate grill (lol, just as funny as it sounds) was the perfect thing to kick off the year.

One great thing about homecoming week is that we have fun dress up themes each day. Monday was twin day, so naturally my friend Nada and I decided to wear navy + white gingham, white jeans and white tennies. Other ones included pajama day (I wore my J.Crew navy onesie #socomfy), mismatch day and one day for our school colors. Tomorrow we have our all school (as in kindergarten to 12th grade) pep rally and I have to speak on the football field with the other captains #pleaseprayforme.

Lastly, it has been such a blast to spend time with my group of friends. We all do such different things during the summer (from field hockey camps to vacations to tennis tournaments) so we really cherish the time that we're together in school and on weekends during the year. It's hard because I barely have any classes with a lot of my good friends this year since there are so many course options, but it makes our free periods and weekend adventures around Wisco that much more special :) (Plus they're all so excited to be finally featured on the blog - you're welcome fam!)

I'm sort of loving these more personal posts that I've done lately. I really enjoy posting my outfits and wellness ideas with you, but sometimes it's fun to reflect and share what has been going on in my life. I want to make my senior year as special and memorable as possible, and I can't wait to share more with you!

Have a great weekend :)
xoxo
