We've all been there. After a long winter of unhealthy eating or simply a stressful week where you resorted to junk food, your body is often in need of a reset to clean out all of the bad toxins. For me, I felt this after finishing my finals and decided that it was time to cleanse by cutting out as much "unhealthy" foods as possible, indulging in tons of fruits and veggies, chugging water all day long, working out a few minutes longer and catching some extra Zzz's. However, not everyone recognizes when their body needs to cleanse. There are definitely some clear signs so I thought it would be helpful to share them with you for today's Wellness Wednesday post!
1. Low Energy
You feel not only tired but sort of groggy and lazy, even after a good night's sleep.
2. Difficulty Sleeping
Maybe you ate too much before bed which made it hard to sleep through the night.
There's nothing worse than eating too much junk food and the notorious food baby!
Eating too much food or when the food you ate doesn't really agree with you.
5. Brain fog
When you have a hard time focusing, are forgetful and lazy for a good amount of time.
6. Frequent headaches
Often a result of not getting enough sleep, drinking enough water or eating too much junk food.
If you are experiencing any of these things, I definitely recommend going on a cleanse. That doesn't mean only drinking a green juice the entire day, but rather cleansing out your system by eating a majority of nutritious things (I like to go by the 90% healthy, 10% unhealthy rule).
