Benefits of Drinking Lemon Water

I recently stumbled upon this graphic on Pinterest (thanks mSe!), and having been obsessed with lemon water for a while now, I knew it would be the perfect thing to share for my health post today! Whenever I fill up my water before I head to school or get a class at lunch, I always try to throw a lemon wedge in if they're available. Not only does it add a great tangy flavor, but it also feels super detoxifying as well. And since I recently invested in the cutest tumbler ever, adding a little bit of lemon is even easier than ever. I knew lemons could promote healthier skin and hydrate your body, but I didn't know the other benefits like freshening your breath and protecting against cancer! Just a few more reasons to cut up a slice to toss into your daily drink :)

  1. I love lemon water! It's the perfect way to "spice up" your water, so to speak. I've also heard that if you drink a cup of warm lemon water every morning before breakfast it helps speed up your metabolism, so it's great for weight loss!

  2. I always think of having lemon in my sweet tea, but I'll have to try it in my water now. I'm sure it's much healthier that way!
