Whenever the Fourth of July rolls around each year, I try to come up with some festive treats to get me in the spirit. We always head to my aunt and uncle's lake house for the afternoon and night of the 4th, so I love making something to bring along. In the past, I've made flag cupcakes, bruschetta, and a fruit salad, among others. This year, however, I want to combine the fun of the cupcakes, the easiness of the bruschetta and the healthiness of the fruit salad. I did a little brainstorming and thought what is better than mini fruit kabobs? I don't know about you, but something about putting fruit on a stick makes it ten times more appealing ;)
Since berries are in season right now, naturally raspberries and blueberries were perfect to add to the banana slices. All I did was slice up a banana and slide them on regular sized toothpicks. It's so easy to make and perfect for a party! Not to mention, both delicious and healthy!

I love making fruit kabobs so much! Except I don't like bananas so I add grapes or some other type of fruit! :)
