What do you know... It's finally exam week! Luckily, my school splits up our finals with two Thursday, one Friday, one Monday and one Tuesday so we don't have to crank them all out in a few days, but no matter the schedule, exam days are bound to be stressful for anyone. Having had exams for 3 years now, I've come up with 3 main study breaks that I like to take every few hours or so to assure that I am completely focused on the material I need to know.
+ Go for a run.
Long workouts often require too much effort or time for study breaks, so I like to keep mine to a run or walk around the block. You are able to break a sweat and de-stress, but it won't take you too much time. Not to mention, it's great to get outside and absorb some sun and fresh air!
+ Take a long shower or bubble bath.
Ahh there's nothing like a warm shower or bubble bath to calm you down. It's the perfect way to take a mental break and get clean at the same time! Bubble baths are extra great at night with warm tea and a magazine.
+ Make yourself a healthy snack.
I'm all for treating yourself to some ice cream or chocolate once and a while, but during finals week especially it's essential to get healthy nutrients in your body. My favorite things to make are smoothies, fruit kabobs or simply a handful of almonds. This is a great video with some ideas or check out my Pinterest board here.
All of these breaks take under an hour and don't leave you thinking you wasted precious study time.

The shower or bubble bath idea is my favorite! I love taking baths to relax and spend some time with just myself. Nothing better!
