The Ideal Travel Outfit

Unlike most people, I don't really chilly on airplanes. After having lived through so many Wisconsin winters, I guess I've kind of become immune to the cold or something (ha!). So, I dress lightly and pack a layer in my bag just in case. As for the outfit, I have two main types of ensembles depending on the trip: comfy casual (aka leggings and an oversized tee) and a little bit of a dressier version, but still very comfortable, like the one above. Your most worn in pair of jeans are a must, along with easily slipped off shoes for airport security and a go-to white shirt. Also, a watch and pretty tote are essential as well. I recently found this passport cover that is just the cutest thing ever - isn't it such a smart idea for easily accessing your boarding pass and passport?

Now tell me, what is your go-to outfit for traveling? I need some new ideas!

  1. This is such a great travel outfit! Whenever I travel I like to wear a good pair of jeans, a stylish, but comfy top, and my favorite sandals or Keds!

  2. Such a cute and perfect outfit to travel in!!

  3. I definitely need a pair of leggings for a plane ride and my converse!

  4. I imagine myself wearing this outfit straight out of the airport right into the streets of Rome. It's just perfect!

I tend to wear a cotton/spandex blend fit and flare dress with tights, a sweater, and an infinity scarf when I travel. I like to layer because of how the temperature varies so much on the plane and in the airport. Also, I find dresses always make you look put together, but the cotton/spandex material makes it super comfy. I love dresses though, so they're always my go-to.

  5. I love those Gap espadrilles. I've been looking for a comfortable pair to take the Europe and the stripes definitely fit in with the Parisian style! Love this post!

  6. I'll be going to Egypt in may and I'm definitely going to be wearing a version of this when I fly there! Thanks for the inspiration!
