Friday Fours

If you asked me to describe this past week in one word, I would definitely choose the word "lazy." Not only were my eating choices embarrassingly below par (ehem rainbow sherbet and pasta for days) but my overall mood and outlook was quite sluggish as well. Maybe it was the fact that I was sick on the couch for three days straight with a bad cold but whatever it was, I am glad it is finally creeping out of me! With a little extra time home sick comes a few things so here's what I've been up to lately:

:: one ::
I had my Sadie Hawkins dance Saturday night - luckily right before the cold hit - and it was a blast. Usually I stick to going in a big group of girls because I don't have that many guy friends (being the monogram enthusiast I am will do that to ya) but I asked one of my preppy buddies and it couldn't have been more fun. I went out on a total limb and chose a dress that I wouldn't usually pick and I loved every minute of it. For those of you who have asked, it's from Anthropologie, and yes those are glittery gold panthers!

:: two ::
I've been loving the color pink this month (probably because it's February) and have been incorporating it into everything around me. Hot pink binder? Check. Essie's Fiesta nail polish? I've got it on. So naturally, I decided to hang up these fun tassels in my bathroom to bring a little bit of the pink love in there.

:: three ::
Being home sick for two days made me remember an old love of mine: indulging in a good magazine (or three). It's the perfect pastime to get you through being sick, along with using lemon hand sanitizer and hot pink baby lips of course.

:: four ::
Finally, I shared a fun DIY campaign chest on Monday and really recommend you go check it out. If you are in need of some new side tables, night stands or accent tables, these are the perfect ones! The Ikea chests I bought were only $35 each (!!!) and were so worth the time I put into them. Plus, I love the crisp vibe they give my bedroom.

Here's to another four day weekend!
What are you up to on this lovely Valentine's Day?
