Campaign Chest DIY

The long awaited DIY project is finally here! I've been working on this campaign chest project since summer (probably because I could never find the time to actually put it together) and finally finished it over winter break. It has been a long time coming but I am so glad it is finally done!

I originally got the idea a few months ago when I saw that Liz had built two of these chests to use as her bedside tables. As you've probably noticed, I've been wanting to redecorate a few parts of my bedroom and thought these were the perfect little project to get the job done! Ikea sells dressers that are only $35 (!!) each so I bought two of those along with a bright white paint and the campaign corners and knobs. The entire thing ended up being a teeny bit more expensive than I had hoped but it was definitely worth the money and the hours I put into it.

The tutorial I used is right here and this and this (personal fave) are two other versions of the project that are gorgeous statement pieces, perfect as accent tables!

I would definitely consider doing this project if you are in need of some cute side tables!
Feel free to shoot me an email if you want to know more about the process ;)
Have you done any fun DIY's lately?

  2. Ikea's prices are too good to be true...then I remember you have to basically build it yourself. :P

  3. I really love the white of your dresser with the silver hardware! That's great you finally got it finished - sometimes it's easy to put off a project and never finish it!
