Strawberry Lemon Slushie Recipe

One night I was super hot, bored and hungry. I felt like something cold, but wasn't in the mood for anything chocolatey. (My go-to summer treat has been a chocolate dipped cone from McDonald's.... shhh!) That's when I decided to get a little creative and dig around in the freezer a bit to see what I could come up with. The result was absolutely delicious, and ended up tasting like a slushie, daiquiri (non-alcoholic of course!) sort of beverage. And the best part? It's so simple to make! What's great about this recipe is that you can pretty much use whatever you have available in your kitchen and can customize it anyway you choose!
Here's what I used:

1 handful of strawberries
1 small handful of raspberries
A scoop of lemon or strawberry sorbet
-Italian Ice works great as well!
A few ice cubes
And a drizzle of cherry limeade
(Add a little lemon juice for some citrusy flavor if you choose!)

Pop it in your blender for a few seconds and you are good to go!
I also topped mine with a few raspberries for decoration ;)

So so yummy, refreshing and even better when it's a little melty!

Try out this treat before summer's over and let me know what you think!
xoxo,
cYa
