BlogHer '13 Recap!

Hey girlfriends!

Well, I'm baaack! I had an absolutely amazing time at the BlogHer Conference in Chicago and loved meeting new-to-me bloggers and communicating with brands. And besides being able to spend some time in my most favorite city of Chicago, the best part was that I got to finally meet Chloe in real life! Let me tell you, she's quite the stunner!

Here's some pictures from my weekend:
I arrived in Chicago around 8 Thursday night and after checking in, my mom and I immediately got out and explored the city. Usually when we go, we stick to our normal Michigan avenue route and shop til we drop. But this time since the hotel that sponsored the event was in a different part of the city, we got to check out a new area!
Then, early the next morning, I met up with Chloe! Very candid in front of the Millenium Park bean, wouldn't ya say? ;) #jacksforlife
We went to this awesome yoga event sponsored by Yasso Yogurt  (which I really need to try... I mean, yum!) and Athleta, a stylish workout brand. Even though it was drizzling, as you can see, it was gorgeous!
After that Chloe and I attended the newbie breakfast and heard The Pioneer Woman speak. Isn't the conference room huuuge?
Then after we went to a session on Instagram (wasn't too helpful), we headed over to the expo to talk with brands. I met several cool brands and also lots of stylish people, including this uuber chic man pictured here! Is his bowtie not the sweetest thing you have ever seen?
The rest of the afternoon consisted of a style mini conference (absolutely wonderful!) and more time at the expo. At night, I flew solo and went to the Keynote Speakers of the year where I heard Queen Latifah herself talk! She's such an incredible woman and I am so blessed to able to have listened!
Saturday morning I got to wake up a wee bit later and wore this outfit. And wanna hear something exciting? I won that necklace at the Ebates booth! Isn't it just stunning?
Unfortunately, Chloe was unable to go to the breakfast because of health reasons so I went to the breakfast by myself. Luckily I met up with some fabulous ladies I had gotten to know the day before and we had a great time! The best part was being able to hear Sheryl Sandberg, the COO of Facebook and the author of Lean In speak. She's such an inspiration and a great leader for women!
I was so glad because later Chloe felt better and we went to some marketing sessions and back to the expo. I had to catch my train back home at 3:15 so I had to leave around 2. It was so amazing to get to meet Chloe face to face after communicating for so long online! If you ever get a chance to meet a blogger in real life, definitely do it!

All in all I had such an unbelievable experience and couldn't have asked for a better time. If you wanna see some crazy pictures be sure to check out my Instagram and Twitter accounts!

Oh, and it was pretty exciting getting tons of free stuff.... You don't wanna see the picture of my room after I unpacked it all! Oyy!

xoxo,
cYa
P.S. If you would like to know any specific information about the conference or have any questions, feel free to email me or comment below! I'll make sure to get back to you really soon!
