Childhood Story

Hey friends!

I was totally inspired by Chloe's hysterical childhood story so I thought I would share one of my own! Maybe I will do this once and a while since I would go back to being 8 years old any day.

So. At my old house we had our laundry machines in the basement. My brother was a few days old and was sitting in his car seat on the kitchen table while my mom ran down to the basement to throw in a load of laundry. Being the curious 2 year old tot I was, I decided to close the basement door and experimented with the lock. In other words, I locked the two locks on the door. Why were there 2 locks? I have no idea.

Anyway, my mom walked up the stairs and couldn't get out, as I had locked her in. She calmly knocked on the door and told me to let her in. Of course, by that time I had already walked away. Most likely to find a cookie or something. (I mean come on guys I had a major cookie obsession.) Hours and much pounding on the door later, my mom was still locked in the basement. She was crying hysterically because my brother was still on the kitchen table in his car seat. That kid could have rolled right off the edge! She tried everything. Climbing up the brick walls to escape through the window? Nope. Busting the door down? A bit too much. Screaming at the top of her lungs til someone heard? It finally worked and my neighbor ran in. Yes, my brother was fine and my mom had stopped crying after a while.

And where exactly was I during this incident? Oh yeah, I was asleep on the floor, right in front of the basement door. What a foolish child I was. Haha

Do you have any funny childhood stories or memories?
