A Very Citrusy Dessert

Happy Weekend dearies!

Are you in need of a super easy dessert to bring to a friend's house or party? Or are you just not feeling in the baking sort of mood but want a sweet treat?

Well look no further! Today I thought I would share with you my latest obsession, a take on chocolate covered strawberries.... chocolate covered clementines!

It may sound weird, but I promise these are super delish ;)

Here's how to make this really simple treat:

Put some chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. The amount depends on how many you want to make but for one clementine I filled about 1/3 or so of this little bowl.
The only trickish part about this is melting the chocolate. I usually put it in the microwave for about 5 intervals of 25 seconds. I assume all microwaves would vary a little though!

After that, peel your clementine(s).

Then, dip! I usually do about half to 3/4 covered. Dip as you wish my friends! ;)

And viola! Super pretty presentation too. I would recommend placing them on wax paper after but we were out so I just used a big plate instead. Pop them into the fridge for a half hour or so and you are good to go!

Some other great ideas for chocolate dipping are:
bananas (I mean seriously though, YUM)
squares of pound cake

What do you think of this yummy dessert?
Have you tried it before? Do share!!

  1. Must try this!! It looks delicious!
