What I Wore for Sorority Recruitment

It's hard to believe the two long weeks of rush are finally over... even though it was fun meeting so many people it definitely felt like it would never end! My roomie and I took a mirror picture every day so I could show you what we wore for each round. Since I was super sick and didn't leave my bed for the 9 party, I unfortunately don't have a picture of my outfit for that. I'm going to do a separate post explaining how rush works at Indiana University and my personal experience with it - this one is just what I recommend wearing for winter rush! 

+ 23 Party: Open Invite 

For the 3 days of 23 round we had to wear Panhellenic tees that our Rho Gamma gave us. They were not the most flattering of shirts, but it was sort of nice that we all generally looked the same when we first went to each of the 23 chapters. Most girls wore jeans and boots (riding boots, booties, Bean Boots, etc.) or Converse these days. It was 10 degrees during this round so I also wore a long sweater over it for 2 of the days. I recommend accessorizing your shirt with minimal but fun jewelry to show a little bit of your personality! 

+ 16 Party: Philanthropy

For 16 round, our Rho Gamma suggested that we wore an outfit like we were going to a nice family dinner. I found the cutest  shearling fur vest at Target (literally the best deal ever!) and wore my favorite gray shoulder cut out shirt underneath. I paired these with my favorite skinny jeans, riding boots and simple jewelry. Caroline wore a cute tribal print cape, black jeans and booties (different ones than in this picture haha). 

+ 3 Party: Preference

Finally for preference round, everyone wore cocktail dresses (mostly black, navy or burgundy) and heels. I was between  what I wore for Sadies and  this dress (also such a great deal right now!), and I'm really glad I wore the lace one. I was also still pretty sick, so it was nice having long sleeves. For jewelry, I wore statement pearl earrings and then a simple gold cuff and my Kendra Scott necklace. 

Then for bid night we all just wore leggings or jeans and converse because we got sweatshirts once we got to our houses! It was raining pretty hard so I threw my rain jacket on too.
